This piece origionally came out of my doing an assignment for my Old Testament class at Campbellsville University. We had to do a project that covered the first half of the Old Testament. Being a Theatre Major, I decided to take my hand at writing a monolouge.
I love this monolouge because it goes through and shows the persistance God has had in an effort to save us again even after we took the apple, and it explains for me how come God couldn't just have sent Christ right after we ate the apple.
In this monolouge we find a God who is rattling his brain tryin to find ways to save his people. From destroying the world to letting his own people destroy themselves, He's gone through every possibility except for that last one. And He doesn't really want to do it. He has no desire to give up his own flesh and blood, but He does it because He does so love us.
I feel this monolouge forces you to sit back and realize what the sacrifice of Christ really meant to God.
